i3 Graphic in iDrive

Just wondering if the i3 graphic in the iDrive My Vehicle menu is intended to match the actual color of the car? Mine does, but don't know if this is just coincidence.

In the X7, the color does match. Would be nice if BMW applies this across all models.

The picture on my I drive matches that ionic silver one, even though I have an all black i3s Only 5 months old.
