Actually, we stopped at Sheetz in Virginia once for fuel/lunch on a road trip. The cheesesteak sub that I had was pretty good, and I would go back again when we're in that area.....

We sadly don't have too many Sheetz out where I'm at, so its always a treat whenever I travel into PA and stop there, a good excuse to get a slushy too!

A couple from over the weekend. First is lamb shoulder chop, broad beans in tomato/garlic/basil sauce, and pesto (homemade) cream farfalle. Second is Portillo's Italian beef (it's under that generous helping of peppers) and a simple green salad. Gotta love mail-order food!

We are going downtown to a place called The Joinery for a 4-course beer dinner. We went to their first one back in August and it was stellar. This is their second one. No menu upfront this time, but I'm sure it's going to be awesome. I'll try to grab some pics of food/menu.

Costco Drumstick, a $1 more than the Rotisserie Chicken but you get 11 Drumsticks. Probably the first time will be last time as the wifey version is much better.

We went to a "beer dinner" last night at place in downtown OKC. This was their 2nd one, we also went to the first. 4 courses, each one had it's own beer pairing. Plus we got a glass to take home, I have no idea how they make money at only $45/person.

1st: Spinach and Kale salad, with craisins, candied walnuts, blue cheese, and an apple cider vinagirette.
2nd: Mussels in a spicy coconut curry sauce with toasty bread
3rd: Seared duck breast with smoked brocolinni, spätzle and acorn squash puree
4th: Blondie (cookie/brownie kind of a hybrid) with vanilla ice cream and nutella fudge sauce.
