I need to call attention to how excellent your username is, Bronco.

That'll be one adult and, uh...
Two adults.

So what does this mean? Does the subs req prod/conf prod suggestion they are scheduling me for mid/end of Sept even if the “Est prod date” is blank? What does Priority: 1 - Customer Build mean, if anything? If it really is mid-September then potentially by Dec?

Thanks in advance.
When I asked SA: He just replied in text “Production will start soon. I will let you know when production is completed and car is at German port.” Clearly doesn’t want to be held accountable to a date since it keeps slipping.
For what its worth you can see the info I had above. I think sometime later that week I did get a VIN#. This afternoon, my status on MyBMW switched to "EXTERIOR BODY ASSEMBLY BEGINS" so maybe they are running on time relative to VIN assignment or even a week early? Wonder if I can still get it by year end.....

Seems longer than the others I've seen on here. I guess that's a bad sign....unless it means its preventing a future recall...

FWIW, I put a deposit in January, got a production number for a 2022 for late June/early July that was then cancelled and turned into a 2023. Quickly got a production number.
July 18 scheduled for production
July 19 Genius gave me info about production week 36
August 1 got VIN and entered production
Sept 1 in paint booth
Sept 2 entered assembly line and assembly in progress
Sept 5 into quality check
Sept 8 skipped through final assembly and ready for transport to awaiting carrier assignment
Now I'll prepare to wait some more

My M60 finished 7/22, and is still sitting at the factory, 7 weeks later. At least yours is at the port…

I got the VIN assigned on Friday and status changed to “production begins”
Build to be completed on 23-Sept

I think we might be getting our cars at the same time. Would you mind sharing your production updates?

Well between sept 8 and sept 13 it was built. It is now awaiting carrier assignment. An optimist will say that the others on the board are dealing with all the inventory flow that is messing up the ports which is seasonal (for the holidays) and my wait won’t be as bad. The more realistic assumption is 2023? I have no idea.

My iX went from "production begins" to "now awaiting carrier assignment" in a week.

In 24 hours it went through multiple steps once it entered assembly line to assignment.

Edit: checked later today and it's dispatched from factory.

Still stuck in 155 QC

My ix M60 has been stuck in 155 QC since July 29. I haven’t been able to get any further information from BMW Genius and although my local dealer has reached out for more info, none had been forthcoming from them either. Has anyone been stuck in the same 155 QC and received any info on why its stuck there or anticipated dates for progressing to the next points? thanks.

Once the iX gets to port do you have to wait before it goes to transit to find out what boat it's on?

Yes. Usually it is on the boat for a day or two before the car goes to "In transit". Then I emailed support and was told not just the vessel but when they expected it to be unloaded.
