This Gillette nonsense is more like EA/DICE with BFV for instance, interjecting this politically correct mindless drivel where it's not needed. EA/DICE paid a heavy price for their actions in sales of the game/stock price, so it will be interesting to see what happens here with Gillette.

If anything, it's given me an excuse to stop overpaying for razors and try something new like Harry's.
Oh I can compare them and in fact I did. Neither ad has anything to do with the sale/distribution of their product, both are risky and both ended up triggering people.

I agree that their razors are overpriced, but to be honest, I have far more important things in life to worry myself with than marketing campaigns.

You might be right, I've fallen into the trap of so many whiny soy boy libturds and got triggered. The mental disorder really is contagious.

Meh, it's pretty easy to boycot a product, and it doesn't require one to be "triggered" in order to do that. I think men today are doing a great job, and frankly having an add that picks on a minority fringe asking "is this the best a man can get" makes it seem like they'er target market might be angry woman.

Adding overpriced razors to my do not buy is no trouble at all.

Seriously, a better add would have been one that praised men for all the good we do in society.

***True story. My wife is on her way shopping and she asked what kind of shaving cream i needed and I just said "anything but Gillette, lol

I think the ones offended, the message hits very close to home. Meaning, the types of guys offended are typically those that brag and/or say things like:

"My dad used to beat the crap out of me, it made me a better person thus I'm very rigid with my kids"

"Boys these days are a bunch of Nancies"

"When I was growing up, we didn't ....*insert hard times/whoa is me story*"

or that guy constantly bitching about hard it is to be a white male in America, or the "pussification" of America, or that guy in the group that makes everyone uncomfortable with his inappropriate language/come-ons with female waitresses, or that guy in the group that seeks a fight when some guy gives him a "hard look" or bumps his shoulder in a bar.

You know the types.

Some of you seem to be forgetting that many women use these products too.

I see it differently.

Gillette had two choices here.

1.) Make an add that shows men need to change and improve

2.) Men a do a great job today and contribute more today than maybe ever.

Do you see Gillette ads for woman's razors suggesting they don't be bullies etc?

I see it differently. I don't get easily offended, think critically, and consider intent and purpose.

Id like to thank Gillette for reminding me not to beat my wife, rape woman as I make my way to the office to harass my secretary while paying her 78 cents on the dollar.

Its not about being overly offended. Its about not agreeing with the message the brand is portraying, so choosing not to supporter it.

easy peasy.

The commercial had no affect on me but your post has now offended me good sir. First off, getting beat up as a small boy was good enough for me and it's good enough for my boys! Boys these days ARE a bunch pansies! When I was growing up I knew how hard it would be to be a white man in America while men with glitter in their beards who eat tide pods cry about unjust the world has been to them. As a heads up, all the waitresses love it when I smack them on the ass and call them sugar, darlin and honey. For the guys that spit teeth after giving me a dirty look or looking at my girl had it coming. They should know better! This is what being a real man is all about!

Interestingly Gillettes parent company sells "skin whitening creams" in India. Not sure how well that would play to the crowd they are marketing to here... lol

That's not masculinity. The things you pointed out are the traits of an asshole. And I'm sure every white guy has a easy breezy life in America.

I'm not sure what the hell is wrong with me but, to date I can't recall ever turning down bacon flavored anything. I will not dispute that there may be something very wrong with me.
