Not to go off topic but....Wow - In your plight, you unwittingly managed to indirectly slap the rest of the i8 owners with the aforementioned remark.

Let me clarify my comment. The i3s are cute little urban cats. The i8s are sports cars. I'd prefer not to parade around with a bunch of i3s.

As for the depreciation -- you are absolutely correct. But luckily at the last minute I decided to lease. So BMW FS is going to eat it, not me.

Exactly. There were too many unknowns for me so the lease was the only option.

But I submit that it wasn't luck.
