It's get most of the power to the wheels though, 0-60 and 1/4 is better in the SS by 0.1sec(s). Anything longer than that the M4 is overtaking and leading. I strongly believe that. Yet, we're comparing a V8 to an i6.

So, then it is again crappy driving by British journalists .
I wonder why all UK publications get such crappy results from the M4 ... For a DCT M3/4, 0-60mph should be more in the 3.7~4.0 range and quarter mile in the 12.0~12.2 range. That is what most US publications are getting. As for the AutoBild test, it was done with a 6MT .

AWD combined with maximum torque at zero RPM is a fantastic combination for launching a car. The i8 rocks because of it . There are rumors of AWD e-boost for future ///M cars and this is certainly a very interesting prospect . A quarter mile race is about time to distance. The i8 is able to accelerate very strongly out of the box, so if the M4 falters just a little at launch, the i8 will likely keep the lead until the quarter mile mark (as shown in the Top gear and AutoBild videos). However, get the launch right in the M4, and it will edge the i8 just before the quarter mile mark (as shown in the Motortrend video). In fact, most publications show the DCT M4 being faster than the i8 in the quarter mile. However, if you look at trap speeds, the DCT M4 is quite faster than the i8. Beyond the launch, the M4 simply trumps the i8. Peg the two cars at 30mph, and the M4 will just pull away and leave the i8 in its wake.
