2015 BMW i8 on Vossen LC104

What's up all?

Here is a few pics of our 2015 i8 on 21" LC104's. Also had H&R lowering springs installed. Turner Motorsports did the install, wheels and springs ordered from Bag riders, and wheels custom built by the fam at Vossen. Fitment needed a few adjustments in the rear when first installed (had a rubbing issue). All parties involved in the install worked together and got the fitment adjusted and proper tire size on. Fitment is dead nuts now. For me pic's check out my IG @hawt_hamm.

Enjoy!

Very clean looking. But not a unique look. Evocative of Ferrari wheels.

Thanks! Anything is light years better than the OEM wheels. Not looking to be unique. Looking to be better!

My thoughts, precisely. F308, 348, Testarossa, ...

Nice effort. But looks a little "out of preriod" for my taste.

That may be so. But then why are we all driving a car that is so not 80s?

The older generation just doesn't get it.

I think it looks fantastic, combining the old school with the new.

Agreed, those stock wheels are a joke, and the factory provided tires are pathetic. The one-piece stocks are unnecessarily narrow and heavier than my bigger and wider 2-piece set of ADV1s currently on the car. The entire premise of them maximizing efficiency had me scratching my head. Not only am I still getting the same, if not better, MPG than I was on the stock wheels/tires, but now I have less rotational mass, wider stance, more rubber, and better traction. Not to mention my car doesn't look like a bodybuilder who skipped every single leg day when it's on the road. I couldn't stand how weak the car looked on those bicycle wheels.

i like it -- although looks-wise, i think 22" is just right for this car (but i know that's not an option/preference for everyone!)

I went 21's because New England roads suck. Wanted a little more sidewall protection than 22's offer.

Haha, so I'm part of the older generation now. 30 is the new 60. Do I get senior citizen discount when I decide to go retro on the wheels?
