Why do people use portrait when landscape gives a better view? I'll never figure that out.

He's using a social networking app called Snapchat. It can be used in landscape mode but it was designed to be used in portrait mode.

On snapchat though- because of the design of the APP- had he tried to record it landscape- it would have came out sideways, no way around it YET.

But I'm with you, landscape- in all other instances- is the way to go

I agree 100% it's just that this particular app is very awkward in landscape. Landscape mode is kind of an afterthought in Snapchat.
