Let's just forget this back and fourth gibberish as we will never see eye to eye on modding a vehicle so let's stay on topic and get back to the regular scheduled program. .

My apologies OP for taking it this far out in left field because of people's opinions on your vehicle.

Once again, the headlights are stock. Didn't mod them.

And for what it's worth, you can mod a headlight by painting the inside black but behind the bulb and lens. This way it does NOT impact the amount of light that's emitted.

Yep usually called the Joey mod for reasons I have no idea. Well at least on the mini forums. Stick the headlight in the oven to loosen the glue and paint all the chrome on the bezel. Course on our i3's their already blacked out.

Nicely done. I really like the i3 and would do similar modifications if I had one.

Since the modern car is controlled primarily by computers, some of them offer customization. ON a BMW, there are many things you can (not approved by BMW, but many people do it) tweak to your preferences, such as folding the mirrors when locking, or closing all of the windows when locking, removing some of the warning messages for the nav, etc. There are several forums that can help people with this, and it requires a WIN machine and an OBD connector and cable to connect the car to your computer.

Over time, BMW will provide various bug or enhancement updates, and those are done by the dealer. Typically, that portion of the code is not available to the owner to tweak.

That's funny! If you check my posts you'll find that I'm well informed into what can be done to a modern car.
All my 4 BMW have been coded or tuned to my specs but I thank you for updating me in modern car technologies. My question was very specific to the reprogrammed term, perhaps they meant coding, perhaps they meant something else, just trying to understand. Maybe they are new and don't know the lingo. and my machine has lots of WIN'S

Not too difficult, just have to take your time removing them, I wrapped all the blue trim on mine with carbon fiber wrap. I wasnt too big a fan of the blue on the grills and rocker panels.

All I've done is wrap some trim, H&R springs, and custom coding. I wrapped the ugly eucalyptus dash pieces with carbon too. This is my daily driver, so spend more money on the X5M.

2 Mods that make the car imho

I just purchased my i3, my daughter thought the car looked "clownish" I sorta knew what she meant and coming from sports cars my entire life admittedly I would have liked a more "i8"ish or Tesla looking vehicle. The icing was someone at a red light signaled me to open my window, first day of ownership(normally I ignore everyone) but the car being brand knew I was worried he saw something I should know about, to my dismay he said to me, "does that take vegetable oil?".

It immediately brought back the memory of my first Porsche 911 tt 20 years ago, a guy at a light said to me, "what's the difference between a Porsche and a porcupine?" he said, in a Porsche the Pr__ks on the inside... Needles to say it did not get a response, nor should this stuff bother me or anyone (I know) but admittedly it does...that said, I tinted my glass to be left alone and the car does look way better. I also replaced the side view mirror covers with carbon fiber and absolutely love them.
