I'm just doing some quick calculation. I don't get how people can get below $1k a month lease.

MSRP: $140,000
Sale Price: $114,000
Residual: 67% for 24 months or $93,800
MF: .00135
Tax Rate: 6%
Down payment: 0

Monthly Depreciation: $841 (114,000 - 93,800/24 months)
Interest: $280 (114,000 +93,800 x .00135)
Tax: $67 (6% x [$841 + $280]

Total: $1,188. This does not include tag, title, fees being rolled into the lease.

I understand MF can be reduced to roughly .00086 if you were to pull full MSD. Even with that it will my payments to roughly $1,088.

Was there any type of cash back/credits? According to edmunds, there is a $3,000 build out credit and a $2,465 lease credit. If that is true, then that is a reduction of $227 a month. Which can bring my payments down to under $900 with full MSD, and under $1,000 with no MSD.

Can anyone chime in please?

----------------------------------------------
EDIT: Just got this from the dealer.

24 Months
Money Factor .00138
10,000 Miles per year is 69%
12,000 Miles per year is 68%

Build Out Cash is $3000
Lease Credit is $2465

so it looks like the residuals went up? I wonder what they are for 36 months.

and in your sale price, you will find they most likely already applied the rebates and incentives, hence the reason the discounts are so much

All these sub 1100 payments aren't possible without 7500money down/MSD

Ideally, go in there with a realistic number- 1199, 4K down. 10 k miles. I had multiple dealerships offering me that until a local dealer agreed to deal me theirs so I wouldn't have to go further out

agreed, without MSD's which will be sizeable, but a given if you have the cash, you wont get below 1100-1200 without money down and MSD's. they want to move these cars and there are still a few of them available so just stick to your plan and go from there. Make sure they do not try and mark up the MF on you or any other fees.

+1 to be on the look out for the dealerships marking up the MF if you qualify for tier 1 credit.

If you can't work out a deal now, don't sweat it either. In a few months- the hoards of 2016 i8s sitting on the lots now (over 450 at the moment) will soon be discounted down, and just as affordable as the 2015s are come the end of summer/fall just in time for xmas.

As noted above - look out for a marked up money factor.

The May factor for tier 1 credit is 0.001380 (3.312%). If you do the 7 MSD the factor drops to .000890 (2.136%).

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

You are looking at a TWENTY FOUR 24 month lease. You need to do 36 to get it down.

OK ALL I will share with you. I got mine for $858/month (6% KY tax incl) with only $8000 down ($6300 of which were refundable MSDs). 36 month. List MSRP 148,950. 61% residual (36 month / 10k mile/yr lease).

I got the loyalty money, option build out credit AND a $1500 fleet discount (which also lowered my MF) because I work for a BMW supplier. Even without the fleet money I was still under $900 I think.

I will post all the detailed numbers tomorrow when I have the paperwork. Go find a 2015 and start negotiating. I would think the loyalty and other incentives must still be there or better.

I think both 24 & 36 months can be a great deal. It is just a matter of if the dealership is willing to give you more than $26k off MSRP.

I went to Crevier BMW in Santa Ana, CA. They had one 2015 left. Asked for 115k on the Pure Impulse. They straight up said, "No." Not even a counter offer.

This must for 2016 model as opposed to 61% for 2015.

Just wait until it's sat on the lot for another couple of months, they'll come around.
