No it's a 4961cm3 V10(5 litres), not the same engine this R8 V8 uses.

The R8 is not the sexiest Audi ever imho, it looks disgusting from this angle:

AND they made a very big mistake with the 'smg like' gearshifter-stick(if Audi calls this car a trackcar):
The downshift is backwards on the stick, the upshift is forward. That is ridiculous. In real racing when you brake and shift down you are being pushed forward thus pushing the stick forward(sequential trannis in racingcars and in the M3 CSL too) to downshift.

This is not a real sportscar.
I'd choose a a F430, GT3 or Aston V8 Vantage. And even a M6.

i agree about the angle. it does look really weird, almost grotesque, from the side.
