i4 US Ordering date?

Any update on when we should expect ordering guides and the ability to customize our preorder? I preordered the minute they opened pre-orders.

I'm not in a rush but I do like to plan my car addiction in advance. Just bought an X5M in August and don't want to let it go so I will need to figure out the car shuffle. Won't sell my M2cs either.

So that leaves my ZHP or E53. Or take on a fifth car.

The reviews have me really wanting this.

I was told by my internet sales manager that Nov
18 the ordering sheets/guides will be out.

I'm first on his list at my dealer. I should be high up in the overall queue. I put my deposit down as soon as the announcement hit.

I was told by my dealer my sheet for ordering would be available on Nov. 18.

I suspect the website will go live about that time.

Thanks for sharing. Will mark Nov 18 in the calendar. I am still leaning towards buying i4 M50 next year after first year production issues are addressed.

All preorders placed after September will be scheduled for production for MY2023, so there are no more MY2022 available anyways.

Well - then delaying the decision is the only alternative.

Yes, and as you noted this works out well for us more risk-averse customers. By the second model year, much of the "fast feedback", volume production, and early field experience will have resulted in the inevitable change notices that are usually swept up for V1 implementation at the next model year launch. I think I'll be right there with you.

When F30 became available in as a 2012 model, I waited until 2013 to buy F30 335i. This proved to be a prudent decision.

I'd like give BMW at least one more year to resolve any pending launch year items. I4 M50 is still on the shopping list.

I did similar with my 2015 F22 that had launched in 2014. I had the dealer hold my order for the first 2015 allocations. The 14s turned out to be pretty good, but mine has been outstanding for quality.

So if I ordered (deposited) now, when could I reasonably expect a car? Summer?

Maybe summer. I think all allocation is done for even early summer.

I don't know. I pre-ordered the day when they went live so I'm somewhere in spring delivery even though I can't order until end of Nov.

This is literally me. Put my deposit down today. I was told delivery ETA of a year. Like literally 12mo. Works out kinda cause my current lease should be up around that time frame, if not I could extend out til then. Also let any 1st MY gaps resolve themselves, if any.

Yikes. I'll have to reach out the GM of my local dealer here in Houston. Hopefully it's not a full 12 months. Although wouldn't be the worst thing.
