3 windshields in 3 weeks
1. Original windshield from production April 2020
2. Replacement windshield August 1, cracked from stone chip 3. Replacement windshield August 19, apparent crack from stone chip BMW won't cover under warranty. It does look like a small impact. I'm trying to attach the pic. My argument is that if the windshield cannot tolerate even such a small impact without cracking, it's a defective product. The dealership says it's an outside force that caused the crack, it's out of their hands, and I would have to escalate the matter. Anyone have any luck with BMW accepting any responsibility. Any advice? Thanks! |

Sound suspicious, is the car garaged or parked outdoors over night?
Possible vandalism with a ceramic implement like a spark plug fragment. Or you could just be terribly unlucky. |

I was driving, on an on ramp, when I heard a sharp sound, which I believe was probably the crack. It was around midnight, there was a minivan quite a distance ahead of me. I'm going through my dashcam footage to grab the clip right now. I used to have pretty good luck. I had a passenger who has really bad luck…. |

Woohoo! Now let's see if this is just really bad luck or some other issue. |
