Nicest interior..?
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com Of course this is a difficult question, because it will also depend on what exterior color that goes with it.. But a quick "poll" here.. What interior would be Your favourite? Last edited by carrera mobile; 05-06-2015 at 07:22 PM.. |

That's what I have and I'm not happy with it. It looks like the brown leather was dipped in green mud.
If I could do it again I'd go with black or white.

I honestly was convinced I wanted black, but didn't want to wait. But I have to say now I the Carum Spice gray has really grown on me (and I am not a fan of light color or gray interiors).

Much happier with the dark brown interior. Black is so errr repetitive, common and dull. |

I've got the ivory leather in my 650i convertible (black/black). Wears well for me.

Was also worried about the lighter interior but it has also grown on me. So far so good; wasn't sure about crystal white vs sophisto either but I love my white!!!

For anyone on the fence about the white leather in the Pure Impulse package, I treated it with Leather Masters Barrier on Day 1 and haven't gotten any dye transfer from my jeans.
I think it is more of a coated leather compared to Merino leather used in other BMW models. Very durable and happy with how its holding up. |

I agree completely but I still went with black because I really don't like brown, didn't want a quick dirty white interior, and none of the other colors really hit a vein with me....soooo black it is. I noticed on the bmw website that you can add carbon fiber to the interior but right now its only available for the M series. I'm hoping down the road it will become available for the i8 to break up the repetitiveness of the black interior.

Regarding choice of the interior, color practicality overrides aesthetic appeal for me when it comes to light colored seats. I had initially ordered the a 2014 i8 Sophisto grey with white grey spice leather interior. After an extensive discussion with the BMW rep. on several issues, including but not limited to choice of interior colors, I opted to exchange the 2014 order in favor of a 2015 terra model that was slated for assembly. While there were other factors influencing my choice, the interior color did come into play. Reason being, I already have a tough time cleaning my wife's car which has light colored seats. They have an unrelenting tendency to pick up dyes from dark colored jeans which aren't easy to remove. Tried using protective sealants in past autos to prevent this occurrence but was extremely disappointed with the results- loss of suppleness and feel of the naturally breathing leather (could be psychosomatic). Moreover, even with the sealant, the the color left behind from the dyes were just as difficult to remove. So I'm inclined to agree with MalibuBimmer on at least considering black interior as option, if available! However, if your'e not fortunate enough to be ordering the vehicle in Canada, then the terra interior is worthy of consideration. Last edited by YWGT3; 05-09-2015 at 08:30 PM.. |

yw - what trim and wheels do you have? I went plain jane. Now wish I'd gotten the protonic blue. (I ordered the W wheels but my dealer F'd up and got me the turbines. Which don't look as nice as they are pictured.)

yw - although I am MASSIVELY suffering from withdrawals I am genuinely glad you got yours back all healed. But I like how i8 withdrawals are now named after me!
Whats funny is all my friends are continuously offering to take the i8 out for a drive while I'm gone, you know for the good of the car. I have such selfless friends. |

Protonic blue! There's no regrets for you MalibuBimmer, you're in the land of wraps down south. With that, any color change can be done! As for me, I just need to find a darn reputable wrap installer in this neck of the woods. Sure would like to get those sills done in carbon fiber after seeing the excellent work on Postdady's i8. |

As far as the multitude of goodwill that's come your way, owning a unique and cutting edge sports car with limited representation on the road creates an abundance of generosity from out of nowhere -even from friends and so-called acquaintances that you've never even met! I know Epirali. I get the same grief from my friends. Only difference is they don't need for me to be out of town before offering their philanthropic and selfless service for my i8. I'm just constantly overwhelmed by the newfound compassionate and saintly individuals this car elicits! |

Hope she is back soon and perfect...
Here for six weeks, back again in July for same. Usually no issues but having withdrawals... I even contacted a rental agency. Thanks for the offer. If I can just stand there and you can drive back and forth I'll be ok... |
