I think its just because recently the cops have been giving us alot of grief about it. I usually don't sport the front license plate but recently I was issued a fix it ticket so that was my temporary fix.

Cops are out to give tickets and give DUI's like no other. There was a checkpoint today right off the 605 at 9pm.
