Uneven Road Surface keeps turning on
Uneven road surface has to be among the most ill-conceived, useless apps ever programmed into a vehicle. I have immediately turned this stupidity off whenever I get into a new BMW for the last few years, and usually it just stays off like it should. For some reason, it keeps turning on by itself every time I drive for the last few days and then notifying me that the road is uneven at the same location on my daily commute (a section of road that’s NOT uneven, btw). Has this happened to anyone else? I don’t think I’ve updated anything, so I can’t imagine why it’s doing this all of a sudden.

I've always left it on as a reminder to slow down for speed bumps or brick roads (uneven road). So I haven't run into the problem and I appreciate the notification and ignore them when it's routine.
If it's reactivating, do you think it's from a SW upgrade or a profile issue?

LOATHE this uneven road surface "feature". I turn it off immediately, but funny you post about this. For the first time ever...mine has turned itself on 2x in the last week. I am the only driver, only one key linked and only my iPhone set up as digital key+
I have not received any OTA either, so cannot explain how and why this happened. But last week there was a MAJOR app and communication outage with BMW, so maybe somehow this affected uneven road surface to come on? But why multiple times, after turning it off? Hmmmmmm #bayerischetechnologie |

Nope...not that I've seen...
Nor on previous 530D, nor its 730D predecessor. Perhaps it's model specific, or even country specific? Considering the state of the roads in the UK, it'd be permanently on. |

I think I can live without it as there are potholes and speedbumps everywhere. It would serve as much use as a hand-written note stuck to the dash.

If you don’t live in certain areas you will never see this. Here in NY I get it all the time. In Florida almost never
