A lot of you have nice TV's and equipment but half of enjoying the TV is having a great sound system.. Lose the Bose guys.. Whenever I hear anyone talk about their home entertainment as soon as they get the the audio and mention Bose I realize they know nothing about it. Having bose in your set up is like having a jet fighter without weapons sure its still fun but your missing out.

My setup is simple but clean. The sound is very pure. My speakers/sub goes very well with eachother and my room setup. That is key. While some people may not have the best of speakers/setups, everyone's budget is different. Let's respect that.

Panasonic 42" 600u Plasma
Microsoft XBOX 360
Nintendo Wii
Rotel RSX-1057 7.1 Surround Receiver
B&W DM603 S3 2 1/2 Way Vented Floor Standing Speaker x2
B&W DM601 S3 2-Way Vented Bookshelf Speaker
B&W LCR600 S3 2 1/2 Way Shielded Center Channel Speaker x1
Velodyne DD-10 subwoofer
Pioneer Elite DV-79AVI DVD player (forgot the model #, one of the better ones)
Cable Co's Motorola DVR box

Now the format war is over, I plan on getting a Blu-Ray player. Possibly a new TV later this year or next year. A 50+" Plasma.

Finally someone else in here with some sense.

OC 335i seems to know as well. Rotel, B&W, Velodyne...

^^ Paradigm is good stuff.

George Lucas has often said that the soundtrack to a film is half of the experience of enjoying it...

For those of you who have watched Star Wars or Jurassic Park, do you remember the first time you heard Darth Vader's infamous breathing? Or the T-Rex's breathing? How about when the T-Rex stomped across the landscape chasing after the main actors? A quality sub is key. If you have a 5.1 or larger setup, in most of the good movies out there, there's distinct sounds that come out of your surround/satellite speakers that are not played on your front/center speakers. Little things like things like this are a big deal in the Home Theatre experience.

I didn't even mention the certain songs they play in certain scenes also. George Lucas was the master at this...

Nice audio setup. In my bedroom I have the B&W XT series hooked up to a B&K AVR507 (if memory serves) with a separate b&K amp, don't recall the model no. Also a 40" XBR Sony LCD.

Sorry about the BF, but San Fran is even more expensive than Boston.

Well chosen pieces there. Rotel ftmfw!

46" Samsung LCD LNS4695d
Custom HTPC (A64 rig)
Yamaha Natural sound 5250
5 channels of Bowers & Wilkins.

I had the LCR 600 (and loved it dearly) but it didnt' fit on the mantle at the home we bought, so i had to trade down to the 300. Still sounds great, but there was definitely a difference.

Epac, nice setup but u gotta get some new furniture when u get a chance bro. I'm not feeling that Best Buy TV stand. Not hating, the rest is nice, the tv stand is out of place IMHO.

Nikki, what's the full model number of your TV? I thought I remembered seeing it was only 1080i when I was at your apartment.
