Has anyone ever tested the pedestrian / collision avoidance!

I know our i8s have this wonderful feature but I've never gotten a warning on pedestrian avoidance while driving.

Has anyone ever seen it go off or tested it?

My wife experienced it. She said that it slams on the brakes and a person (icon) flashes up on HUD and dashboard.

Had it when driving round a multi storey (probably a bit too quick). When I approached a turn, car must have thought I was going to crash and put the brakes on quite aggressively. Luckily no one saw me as I'd have looked a right tool
