Too bad it only has business nav. However at that price point it’s still a good deal.

01SEP18: lease currently in final stage of assumption awaiting CA DMV title to BMW FS to complete assumption. I will miss this second i3, the i3s is at port so it'll be a short hiatus for me and the electric.

Looks like it's a formality at this point, but in case it falls through I'm interested.

Thanks you're right it's a just a matter of waiting for FS to get DMV title and it's done; will keep the thread posted.

20SEP18: Stage 3, assumption complete. Buyer is flying in from FL and taking the i3 all the way back on a solo road trip!!!!! I begged him to document the journey, it is roughly 35 tanks of range extenders to make the trip home with hold charge enabled.

Will be interesting how many tanks with hold charge enabled he can get before battery is dead. I know when I enable it, sometimes the Rex can add a little back to battery, other times it still uses some battery juice.

BTW, when I enable hold charge at 75% or less, I cant disable it while driving, is that true?

you can disengage the rex but there's a lag time, just make sure you only hit it once and it finishes what it needs to do before it shuts off the rex but definitely can be turned off while driving on both my i3's. i think he will need to plug the i3 on his rest stops so charge the battery as you're correct, the rex doesn't recharge the battery and 75% to 0% is an inevitability....

Road trip !!!

This is going to be a long one.....
I'll be using the fast DC charger / public sites and my new juicebox pro at RV parks along the way if time permits. Still got a long way for the infrastructure to catch up. A few electrifyamerica charging site just came online and I'll be visiting 2 of them.

Trip planner on plugshare.com helped me out on locating chargers along the way.
