I am gonna try riding few of the 600cc and 250cc and see which one feels better ...I think its gonna be pain in the A to find a used 600cc vehicle..as I dont wanna buy a new one....by the way how old can a bike be to be considered to be a good used bike... can we go back to 2004 models or should I be looking for something after 2007? I know it really depends on the condition/miles on the ride but just to get an idea....

If you think you can handle your testosterone, purchase a Suzuki SV650 or Kawasaki 650R but for the love of God DO NOT buy a supersport bike (R6, ZX6R, GSXR, etc) as your first bike!!! You will end up either 1) Seriously injured/killed, 2) with a fucked up bike from laying it down in a corner, or 3) with seriously handicapped riding skills. Will you people who don't ride PLEASE stop recommending 600cc SS bikes to beginners! You don't know whta you're talking about. And to those few guys who started on those bikes or (heavin forbid) a 1000cc SS, if you're not injured/dead and still riding you're in a 5% minority. Build SKILL first. I'm sure I could ride circles around your 1000cc SS on a 250cc standard.

Even if you like the looks of the Hyosung, the Ninja is clearly the better motorcycle.

If you get a 2000-2006 Kawasaki 250R or even EX500 you should be able to sell it after a year or two at practically the same price it was purchased for.

oh and if you do get a kawasaki 250, know that the resale value on those bikes are so high, that you can buy a new one, ride it for 6 months, learn, and sell it for a fairly high amount. |

If your a bigger guy go with a Suzuki 650SV, that was my brother and I's first bike and we loved it, we are 180 lbs +.
If your smaller and want to ride Sport bikes down the road go with a Ninja 250R or a Suzuki GS500F. |

Well, I am kind of glad that my computer lost the connection and my last post didn't show up. I had a lot of good advice for you, but since you want to go ahead and look cool with a SuperSport 600 then it wouldn't apply anyways. Do your thing man, just make sure that you are careful and live to ride another day.
I will recommend this to you. Books; Motorcycle Safety Foundation Guide to motorcycling Excelence Twist of the Wrist 1 & 2 Total Control High Performance Street Riding Techniques Sportbike Suspension Tuning DVD Street Smarts 1, 2, & 3 Twist of the Wrist 1 & 2 Those helped me get a better understanding of the dynamics involved with riding a motorcycle. Make sure you understand what you are doing before you do it. No better way than studying the technical aspect of it. Also... frequently go to an empty parking lot and experiment to see what your limits are with emergency braking, swerving, avoiding obstacles. always practice and keep your skills sharp. Now, you went ahead and got a 600. It will take you a lot longer to learn to ride a bike properly, maybe you are one of those guys that is the exception to the rule, but they are less forgiving. you will be punished for your mistakes. You better be smooth with the throttle, the clutch, the handling and if you also have to pay attention to the power and learning, that is a lot to process when riding in the street. Throw to the equation the oncoming car that turns left in front of you, the grandma backing out of her driveway and the parallel parked cars opening their door or joining the road, none of those can see you, add a powerful bike and an inexperienced rider and we have a recipe for disaster. Be careful, and enjoy the ride. One more thing, always wear your protective gear. Jacket, gloves, full face helmet, boots and riding jeans. Is not a matter of if I go down... is a matter of when. It will happen and more than likely won't be your fault, but you want to be protected and live to ride again.

Haha, I find amusing that our cars look similar, different colors. Get the S1000rr and it will look like it was planned out. Here is what I mean.

People I know seem to speak highly of the SV650 as conducive to beginners yet with enough power/chassis to go beyond "beginner" skill level... have you considered that?
Whoops must've missed it, last on your list |
