to be honest its not even ATT's network thats that bad. They actually have a pretty decent network except that the iphone itself demands so much data and so many people have one that it overloads cell towers.

That is also a factor, either way the service is crap. The first time I called my friend when he got the iphone 4 the day it came out I heard him say "hello" and it dropped me.

I got my Droid X on 7/15, and I love it! It paired with both my M3 and X5, with no problems. The battery doesn't seem to last more than a day, but I've been using it pretty heavily.

My friend got an X recently and I played around for a couple of minutes. Overall nice, but too big IMO. What's funny is before she got it she said she could never get an Iphone because her hands are too small to reach the entire screen with one hand, then goes and gets an X lol

Got my DroidX yesterday. This phone is awesome. I think that it is better than the IPhone4. The battery does not last long, but every smartphone that I've owned had the same battery life.

Not to continue to rave about this thing - but the one thing that I really love about it is the ability to make it a wi-fi hotspot. I'm actually using it right now for my notebook computer and for my ipod touch. It's so amazing, and it really works great. It's sitting in my living room on other side of the house and I'm out on the deck drinking a corona. Pretty sweet.

My brother recently got the Droid X and I was able to play around with it. The battery and size is what is turning me off. The depth is really good but the width just kills me.

The battery has been pretty good for me - but yeah, you definitely have to get used to the size. It takes a bit to get accustomed to the larger buttons on the on screen keyboard for sure...
