Restaurant.com 80% FTMFW!!! $25 coupon for only $2. So what if im a mooch

In times like these its ok to be a mooch. Just make sure you tip your server well and its all good. No limit to how many you buy but read the stipulations like minimum purchase of $XX or only 1 coupon a month, etc.

promo code is MENU if you want to use this.

just make sure the restaurant still accepts it before you sit down and order thinking you're gonna get an awesome deal.

tip your server based on the original total not after your $X off certificate.

I looked on the website, and some restaurants near me say the following next to the "buy" link for the $25 gift certificate:
Quote:
Valid with a minimum purchase of $35. 18% gratuity added to pre-discounted check amount.
It doesn't say that for all the restaurants participating, but quite a few. Still works out to be a pretty decent deal.

$35.00 food bill
$6.30 added for tip
$3.33 added for sales tax
$2.00 gift certificate cost
$46.63 total
-$25 gift cert
$21.63 net bill

That's a 54% savings, not quite the 92% savings of a $25 gift cert for $2, but still pretty good.

If only the list of participating restaurants were ones I wanted to go to.....

I don't get how this works...? Does it email you a coupon?

I'd like to get a coupon for this place, but what's the deal with the 'add to cart' and 'proceed to ckeckout' stuff?

I feel like a cheap bitch using coupons.

Especially if I'm eating w/ a lady friend.

yeah don't try that on the first date. you will definitely "NOT" impress her. But then again, she is there for one night.

so, do you purchase and print the coupon? this might be useful for my florida roadtrip.

as for impressing the ladies, money saved could be money used for more goodies for my gf

i read somewhere that some restaurants do not participate anymore but are still listed. in any event, $2 isn't much to lose if you can save a lot of your dinner bill. i usually just ask the hostess as i enter the restaurant.

yes, they e-mail you a certificate which you present to your server when you pay. this is definitely not being cheap. it's getting more bang for your buck.

i couldn't agree more... why pay $50 for something when you can present a piece of paper and pay only $25? Rather than being cheap, i consider using the coupon as a smart shopping decision.
