Agree, I think it will be better in person, plus in the U.K. we have front registration plates so it helps to break up the grille a la M3/M4.

The one you saw must have amazing grip and handling though

Lol, I know. Not sure why the pictures come up upside down. I have tried to fix it but they still show that way. Hope someone can tell me how to fix it.

You need to rotate the images and re-upload it.
Let me see if I can fix it for you.

Cool. Heading to Philly in a couple weeks. Have you been to a UDE before? Wondering how this year might differ from an event last year vs an event pre-COVID. I'm guessing it will vary quite a bit depending on the locale. I'm sure we won't be licking each others' trail mix any time soon, but hopefully it's at least a little close to what they used to be.

It was a great event! Autocross M440xi and many models were available to road test (including X7 50i, X5 45e, M850xi Convertible, M440i Convertible, Mini Cooper SE and others)

They usually time laps so drivers can get competitive, but they did not this time. Not sure why. Also, instructors did not come with us in the car. They just talked to us through the radio. Overall it was very similar to the usual UDE.

The iX truly looks stunning in person. I think it will sell incredibly well. Thanks to OP for snapping photos.

I'm not a fan of the color combo, but I like the front end.

I like the shape of the front end. It works well on an SUV.

What material is the grille made out of? It almost looks plastic.

I like the interior!

Front looks pretty ugly...

I hated the i3 so I also find the side profile to be ugly...

Don't mind the rear

Sounds like it might have been similar to last year then. Aside from being untimed and the instructors only over radio, I think the biggest differences between last year and previous years was that the big tent (with the barista, snacks, lounge area, and classroom) was missing, along with not being able to climb around the show/display cars like that iX. Those items just made it seem a little more exclusive, but we need to take care of this pandemic first.

Since only the ignorant or brave are ventilating their deviant opinion here, others try to avoid troll ban by the moderators, this thread will probably be very short.

I actually like the interior. I just wish the center console touched the dash. It's giving me minivan vibes at the moment. Speaking of minivan, what's with the rear 3/4 proportions? I don't find the front end to be as offensive as some...I love the narrow headlights, minus the missing angle eyes . Also, the glossy black trim is way too flat and looks "stuck on."

Nice vehicle, but let's replace it with a Hyundai badge instead. I just don't see BMW. It looks more like an electric Tuscon....

Anything construed as negative or critical certainly isn't appreciated here any longer.

…only when it significantly detracts from the overall conversation. It does get old after awhile. I don't think it's simply about counter opinions. It's the manner and behavior associated with those opinions. Many still voice their dislike for things and aren't banned.

I work in tech, I love playing with new tech, and buy a lot of tech focused products. However, I don't like the move of all the auto manufactures towards integrating every single button into the dash/touch screen. I like the current dash/center stack of the iDrive 7 vehicles and wish they didn't remove so many of the physical buttons with the move to iDrive 8.

IMO, problem with the look is that it is not 'classic' and will look old 5-6 years from now. Sort of like 10 years old Lexus does while 10 years old BMW still looks fine. The other thing is that BMW designs used to project 'speed', 'agility' and 'sport' and this shape is none of that. It is more about 'Look at me, I am BIG and MEAN' sort of like Lexus GS grille.
