McLaren F1 for sale

One of my all time favorite cars the venerable McLaren F1 is up for auction. Unfortunately if you have to ask you can't afford it. If only I had the coin.

If I could afford one I'd be so rich I wouldn't care What is $50k for tires when you got Elon Musk money? These things sound outrageous, but so does a new battery for $500 for a vanilla 5 series. If you were to build a car using parts and services costs we'd all be riding a bicycle to work.

I guess I'm more of a modernist and prefer their newer models. For the money I'd take a 720s. I see there are a few for sales in the ATL area! Better test drive one!

2021 model with 50 miles on the odometer for $360,000. Hmmm.

It is remarkable how much of a design change has occurred over the past 2 decades odd since the original McLaren F1 road car came out.
The wheels, the lights, the styling.

Was/still is one of my all time favourites - that and the Jag XJ 220

I have a friend with one. It is, by far, the most interesting car I've ever been around. The same friend has a P1, a 675 and a plethora of other cars.

saw an yquem orange one on merritt parkway by greenwich several months ago. was an awesome sight as that was the car that got me into cars

Those are really gorgeous cars but they are almost away from practical daily use, so when you cant afford one you shouldnt buy one.
Its like iPhones, they are nice gadgets but you dont really need them

He understandably regretted selling the orange F1 after mega outlay on items that were hardly used and now worth $15M. Would have been worth just to let it stand with a trickle charger and it'd be worth the same.

Thinking the could have just had tires balanced at Tire Rack authorized site and been done with it. That sounded like a bunch of BS. I like it in that orange color and think I saw it at Lime Rock in 19.

Thinking the road cars are becoming a bit dated but the design is still good looking, just other cars have made it look old. 6-7 years ago I doubt I would have said that, time will determine where it sits.

My friend worked for BMW N/A in NJ in the Engineering department. They would get all the prototype vehicles and do testing and diagnosis blah blah blah.

Ralph Lauren lived close by in Connecticut or on the NY border and would request ONLY my friend to pick up his F1 for service work. Then they would close off the Westchester NY airport for him to put it through its paces.

I was so envious, that's all
