It’s crazy but I’ll always remember this happening and the people involved.
I was thirteen years old, 1973. After basketball practice. Coach Hoppe has a jacket in his hand. He asks, “whose jacket is this?” Joel Sierra, who has a twin brother named Jerry, says, “that’s Joes.” There’s no Joe on our team. Coach says, “ Joe, Joe who?” Jerry says, “Joe mama”. And there you have it. We were rolling after that! The first “Joe mama” I ever heard, 1973.

LMAO, didn't think very many people used that one. My best friend called his mom "joe" all the time, if anyone asked why he called his mom "joe" he would respond that's Joe mama. All of us that ran around together would call her Joe. She was a good sport and played along.

We still laugh over that from time to time, she's no longer with us but still remind him of that.

Of course we have taught our kids (they're in their 30's) that one and we will refer to my wife in the same manner.
