Charger port dust cover hanger "secret"
Since this came up in the off-topic section, I figured that it was worth re-posting in the "topic" section.
Not being aware of how to properly hang the dust cover on the charger door is one of the biggest gripes of several i3 owners that I've met, and it really isn't obvious. Most try to hang it by the bottom lip, where it sticks up above the top of the door and falls off with the slightest bump or wind gust. Until I saw the secret in another forum, I had given up on the hook and just draped the cap over the door by its tether. If you look at the *top* of the cap (by the finger grip) from the bottom, you will see the opening that BMW included for mating with the hanging tab on the door: Published references/confusion from the web: https://www.bmwblog.com/2014/06/23/l...iles-dislikes/ Check out this photo caption: Dangling over the hook: .
