That Phytonic Blue is just killer. BMW knows how to nail a blue. Damn.

I like how it looks in the video mostly, but was disappointed in it when seeing it in person when I was shopping for our X5 back in 2019 and ended up with alpine white instead. We wanted a different blue but the Spartanburg plant did not have their custom paint shop built yet and we didn't want to wait for several months for the possibility of maybe being allowed to get our custom color (a different blue). The new car itch needed to be scratched ASAP so waiting that long was out of the question.

FWIW I do think it would look better on the iX than on something like a X5 mainly due to the black panels. In any case, if you haven't seen it in person on other models, I would suggest you do before picking it and hopefully it will just confirm that you do indeed love it!

I have Phytonic on my '18 X3, I still love it. It is a good blue, not too dark. Went with Aventurin on the iX, have never had a red car so we shall see.

They've done the last four cars of mine since moving to Southern California 3.5 yrs ago. Exterior ceramic coat and ceramic tint. I do clear on the front window and debating about getting the IX's panoramic sunroof as well.( my past cars I always had the sunroof tinted as well) https://www.genuinedetail.com/book
Has done an amazing job with all of my cars.
