looking for an i8 coupe lease transfer
My 2015 i8 lease will end on June 30th.
Before I start negotiating with dealers on a new 2019 I want to check if you guys have any to do a lease transfer (this is how I got the current one and the process is easy) |

What's the buyout cost on a Lease? I'm looking at a 2015 or 2016 i8 to purchase as they are now starting to come off lease. I wondered if it would be better for me to find someone that has gently used one and negotiate it before the dealer sees it?

From my research, it seems like it's better purchasing one from a dealer off lease. The buyouts are still too high for these cars (for the market).

Ouch- BMW inflated the expected cost or imagined there would be less depreciation on these. 2015's and 2016's with less than 20K in miles seem to be going for $63-69K.
I'm looking at a '15 with 17K miles for $59K which puts these cars in a very affordable price range. Insurance is reasonable also given its performance. |

The one for $59k had a marked lemon title from California so I decided against it. Found a CPO '15 with 21K miles for $64K and just bought that one yesterday. Can't wait to drive it!
