2020 i8 coupe
Well just ordered my second i8!
My 2016 lease is ending soon. It was hard deciding to buy a used 2017 or lease a new 2020 again. I'm lazy, so ended up going the lease route, even though buying a 2017 i believe makes a lot more sense. 2020 i8, MSRP 155K, 3 years, 12k/miles/year, no money down, $1600/month. Probably not the greatest numbers, like I said I'm lazy. I just love this car though! It is my daily driver. |

Well...
That doesn’t sound too bad considering owning the car I figure my depreciation at about $1300 per month in addition to loss of interest on my money. Hopefully the depreciation will slow down soon. Still love the car. Worth every penny. Congratulations. |

Thanks everyone!
As boring as it may sound, I kept the same color scheme as I have now - sophisto grey/frozen blue. Actually the car is identical to what i have now options wise - as you know, there's not much to pick in terms of options. I didn't opt for the roadster, as I need the back seat. My guitar fits back there, or sometimes a baby seat. I got the Tera world option, and the laser light package. It's weird having the exact same car as a new car, this will be the second time I did that with my M3s. Oh wait, I did get different rims. |

I wasn't aware they were still making coupes for '20, I thought the production was just for the end of model Sophisto Edition. Did they give you a projected month for delivery?
I'd be curious to get your thoughts on your '20 vs. your '16 once you get a chance to drive it a bit... |

I'm getting a 2019 Coupe in Canada 1400CAD$ (tax included) , 4000CAD$ down, 24 month lease, 12000km. I'm wondering if its a good deal - has carbon trip and "premium package" which I can't find the meaning of anywhere....

ya i'm curious to see the differences. i think there's about 20 extra HP, and a a little longer range on the battery, and maybe shorter charging time. |

I lived in toronto for a minute, and spend alot of time there in the summer. I think those numbers are straight. Sounds pretty similar to mine...factoring in shorter lease (more money), less miles (less money), and the exchange rate. |

Is your 2020 heavily discounted? Is it 1600 tax included or + taxes? My 2019 is heavily discounted and the lease terms seem exceptionally favourable...my last cars were a q50 and Tesla M3 so this is a big change and I’m excited!!!! |

1600 taxes in. I've going to Montreal a lot over the last few months. What a great city. I'll be spending some time there over the summer as well. |

I worked on improving my deal. I am able to get a loyalty rate reduction of 0.75% now and by making 9 MSDS , I can reduce a further 0.9% so now it ends up costing 1450CAD tax included per month. Nothing down. Trying to see if I can get a corporate or fleet discount.

Took delivery of my car on Saturday!
Drove back home from NYC - upstate NY. First thing I noticed was the increased battery resource - new battery stated 32 miles electric power. iDrive system is updated - didn't check the actual version but it looks very similar to iD7 in my other bimmers. Scattered pieces of what appears to be carbon fiber in the interior. My Samsung T5 external drive, worked perfectly in my 2016 i8. However right now, it's only showing some folders, some folders not showing up. |
