Should I be worried?
Recently (three weeks back) I bought a 2018 LCI just before the lock-down. Am loving the individual colour, extra range, the laser lights and central screen interface. All good so far...
Then this morning, Autocar wrote an article on the end of i8 production: https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/f...ld-bmw-had-die Interesting article that I read but halfway though I was amazed to see a photo of the car that I just bought featured within. Look at the link and my car is the Donington Grey Coupe. Well, that got my attention so I searched more and found this next link where Autocar tested the car as the "face-lifted model" in 2018. https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-review...2018-uk-review So it looks like, unbeknownst to me, I bought an ex press car! Not really sure how I feel about it!! Has it been abused, launched, thrashed, ragged.... who knows!! At least I have some good photos of the car. No one said it was a press car - it was sold as an ex demonstrator, one previous owner car but I am thinking now that it's had more drivers than Tiger Woods? Should I be pushing for an extended warranty or what? |

Man thats a bummer. I'd not be happy at all that wasn't declared to you. I'd definitely go back to the dealer and give them merry hell! Good luck!!

in that autocar article - towards the end, it talks of depreciation and shows the copper i8 roadster and the wording -
2019 i8 Roadster - £76,000, 5 miles: Proportionally, Roadsters lose even more money than coupés in their first year. where is this 5 miles 2019 Roadster for £76k? - who is selling it/ |

I don't think launched starts are possible in the program during break-in.
IMO the i8 is pretty difficult to abuse.
