At what values are i8's actually changing hands in today's market?
I'm actively shopping for a White on Amido i8 of 2015-2016 vintage and have been for the last 2 months or so. I've mostly seen the same ~200 i8s listed for sale during this time what virtually no movement in inventory, be it dealer or private seller. A 10k mile 2016 example recently sold on BaT for $70k, whereas the examples Im looking at with 40-60k on the clock, I would expect to see moving at $45-55k...especially on the lower side for the ones going out of warranty for the hybrid system. Ive only seen 2 cars posted in this time had pricing in line with my expecations and they sold within 2-3 weeks. Unfortunatley for me, wrong color combo.
Anyone have any real world example of what they paid or sold for within the last month or so? I'm guessing most of these cars were obtained by their current owners in 2020-2022 and purchased at peak 'rona inflation and maybe holding out hope for a bounce back. |

When I bought my 2016. That low-end of the market you are looking at. Can almost guarantee all had issues. Many I saw were quite serious issues like unrepaired/unreported accidents. Serious check engine lights. I went to look at 8 cars before I bought mine. Even ones with a perfect looking service and Carfax... Both had unrepaired/poorly repaired damage. I bought a very low mile barely 18k. Still ran into issues but the body/ interior was still mint.
