I believe it's locked in when you apply so it can vary month-to-month, however it has to be applied to a vehicle within 30 days of approval. Currently it looks to be 1.9% across BMW's line-up.
This is vague to me as I'm trying to remember 3 years back, however I do remember that to get top-tier rates, you just need a 680 FICO 8 auto score which is pretty generous in that aspect.

At this point I do not think anyone has any idea. It has been suggested the current backlog of orders ranges from 9 - 12 months. Simple math from there except they may be adding production capacity which will change the timeframes.

If one didn't already pre-order, then could one even expect to see it in 2022? From what I can tell the pre-order process is closed and those cars all are designated for 2022 (ish). If you have a pre-order, and you send your configuration to your dealer, then they will load it up into the system and let you know when a build date was assigned. Its a crapshoot at this point. I was given week 14 (April 4) 2022 as a build date. I am expecting to see the car in May.
I hope that you get the time slot you are wanting. One of the things I am curious about is how the shipping situation will impact delivery. We live near a major port and there is a bay with dozens of ocean freighters just sitting their waiting for their turn to unload. My friend watched one of those freighters for 3 months as he hoped they would unload it so he could have his windows for a new home... Should be fun! |

I just received my product number so my order was just put in. Started tracking it on BMW's site. Still no build month yet.

I'm still in the order bank, status 047 :-(
I contacted my dealer Nov 22nd to place my order. I don't anticipate moving along until March/April of next year though. I guess the order remains there in line until it can be matched to a Chassis/Production #. Honestly I'd rather my build start production in June or July for a Q3/Q4 delivery so that it would be a 2023 model year.

My contact has kept me up to date when something changes. I ordered Tanzanite which is an individual color and from what I understand that can push the build by 10 weeks. So if the first cars show up in March, I might be looking at May or June.

I also haven't heard anything yet, even though my dealer is on top of things. I pre-ordered on June 1 and got a confirmation email on June 8. Hopefully soon!

I pre-ordered June 2. (USA)
I placed my order Nov. 21 I just got confirmation that my car should be at the dealer in June +/- I have to create an account to see what production week that translates to. I won't get the car any earlier due to color. Tanzanite is considered BMW Personal so there is a delay of 8-10 weeks. June works great for me anyway. Update - Changed my interior color from black to cognac. After looking at it, black interior is meh. Cognac on the other hand just looks like class.

I have an i4M50 on order, was told May’22 at the earliest, currently driving an 2020 M5C so a big change but the financial benefits switching to electric for business owners in the UK are too great not to take advantage.
I have been told finalising spec can be done nearer the time but what I have currently speced is as follows Tanzanite Blue II 20” Alloys Black leather Visibility Pack Technology Plus Pack Shadow line Individual Shadow line lights Blue callipers Heated Steering wheels Not a fan of the blue stitching so rules out the M seats as the only other way to get them is the tan leather 🤢, nothing against anyone picking it as I did previously on a 7 series but after 3 years with it I grew to dislike it. Might switch out the colour for either Brooklyn Grey or Dravit Grey and then spice up the interior with red leather. |

I’ve had a few brown interiors in the past, couple with Porsche which were dark brown almost coco in colour. I almost picked the same on the 7 but decided to have a change, first impression is it’s stunning but over time I got sick of it.

it will be my 4th non black interior. I had one in a 5 series almost this color and in my E36 I had almost a mustard color. Last car was dove grey. I don't really have expectations except it isn't black.
