What is underneath the coupe passenger seat?

I was just going through my i8, and am wondering what is that package sort of thing underneath the passenger seat?
The drivers seat doesn't seem to have anything similar.
2020 coupe btw.

When you open it, there is the VIN stamped in the car body panel.
