Its plenty for 95% of people, who only drive 30-40 miles a day.
Its also fast enough for 95% of people, who can not handle a car that does 0-6 in under 5 seconds. In regards to comments about slow. BMW could allow for it to go faster, but that defeats the purpose of a efficient EV. Sure slap a 75+ kw battery in there and allow the system to overheat pushing the system too hard for a few mins and let it use 100% of the available power, then you can let people go as fast as they want and have more range than anyone really needs. Tesla's are marketing garbage like iPhones.

Its a fact that the average miles driven per driver is in the mid 30 miles a day.... according to statistics.

This may not be the final outcome but my initial paperwork indicates the base car price is unchanged.
Comparing a 2018 build to my 2019 the 19 is cheaper by approx 1000$ due to the standardized base options plus additional options light high beam assist. We will see how it washes out when deals/incentives are released. |

2019 i3s
loving our i3s, we both have ice cars but we fight over the keys of this baby.
The quality is Absolutely spot on, range is fine, some times on our longer journeys we do quick 20 minutes rapid charge and a coffee is fine. It looks stunning in the fluid Black, just love it |

Hello, I’m looking into buying a 2020 i3s here in Massachusetts, but the dealer is basically telling me they don’t make them anymore and that they are difficult to find. I have heard this rumor but also heard they retracted that rumor once the new bmw CEO took over. do you guys know what’s the deal here? Thanks.

Just try a different dealer. You can see by BMWs website that the i3 is still made. The car must be ordered, so many dealers don't wish to bother. I'm sure profits are very low for the i3 also. With the BEV the only one available now, there is no service income for dealerships also.
Just keep calling until you find a dealership to work with. I'm sure Boston area is best.

We currently have an X7 and an i3. Previously had a 528i. The i3 is by far my favorite car to drive. And I'm also one of those who really likes its aesthetics. Hoping BMW will continue to offer exciting and well-packaged BEVs like the i3.
