Hello all!
I thought it be interesting to see how others are doing with their aging i3 and their milage and battery health. So far it looks like after 90k miles and 8 years with lots of level 3 charging and highway miles as well as many long distance trips to Michigan to Chicago my i3 with range extender is still managing to get close To the advertised 75 miles for the Rex. My battery health is 77% and close to the 69% needed for replacement but I still manage to get great milage still today. It manages between 65 and 73 miles still to this day. And even more if driven in eco plus mode. …….. UPDATE ……… After 10 years and now at 106k miles I can safely say I’m still satisfied with miles driven. Seems the scare tactic of 10 years and the batteries are garbage is garbage. Car still works and drives like new and still no problems. And can still achieve 80 miles or more on eco pro plus. But with the added fuel their is no range worries. This is with a car located in Chicago and gets fast level 3 charged regularly. |

They need to drain the car completely then charge fully And the computer then reads and gives a percentage of battery health. Gonna try and use level 3 as much as I can to get that 7 % |

That is very positive news.
I have never done any level 3 charging on my i3s (120ah), only level 2 and all at home as I have a 11Kw home charger (capable of 14Kw). I may suffer from "range anxiety" as I typically recharge that car somewhere between 30 and 40%, think its hardly ever been below 20%. Think its positive that a car with that amount of miles, ange and type of charge has held up that good. Drop in a 120ah battery when it's done and have a decent range EV with the REX in addition

Now that I've done a mini restoration on the car it looks brand new and feels brand new. I know every battery is different, this car has been drained to the REX all the time and driven long distances using the rex. I'm sure your battery health is probably much much better than mine. I'm showing this mainly to show the team if you don't take care of the battery and just use it with no concern you will have this outcome lol. Not bad to be at 77% after 8 years and almost 100k miles. It's still very usable. |

Absolutely.
My car is just 18 months old and has only done 11.000km/6800mi so it should be 100% still During Covid I had home office for the most part, so I did very little driving, normally my home/work commute is 8000km/5000mi a year alone. I have to admit I'm actually considering replacing the i3s later this year. The car is great, but I need something a little bigger (suv), more comfortable and a range of 500+km/310+mi on a single charge that doesn't break the bank. The current hot contender is the Skoda Enyaq RS iV Coupe. Will be my first non-BMW since 2002 if that is the case, time will show.

My 2017 is over 80,000 miles, and has no noticeable degradation. Still says 120-130 miles when turned on on warm days, just as the day I got it.

I've always been so hesitate to buy one of these. Glad they are still holding up so well. Could be bargain buys now with every other electric vehicle being so expensive (>$20K). Seen a lot of these floating in the teens.
