The M50 is steady at launch with g forces and then wanes slowly. At the end of the 1/4 mile, the M50 is still accelerating at a quicker pace.

Also, all-season tires may not be the best for times, even if you aren't sensing slip, there may be slip. But who knows until a summer-tire car can be tested.
That is correct. The 11.45 sec M3P time happened to be at a prepped drag strip. FYI, his time slips matched the Dragy numbers perfectly. A tenth off the launch will help your ET by twice that amount. So maybe on prepped surface the i4 may hit an 11.4 sec qtr mile.

Here is another side by side drag strip comparison between the M3P and i4. Tesla definitely gets it from the launch and then some. There was only a .09 sec difference 0-60mph, compared to the laughable .6 sec difference Tesla advantage "on paper." (3.7 vs 3.1). However, the BMW,had the 255/285 section tires which help on a road course, but hurt on the drag strip.

The rears on the 20s are too big, in fact they are the same size as my M5 Comp had but who really drag races so the tenth you might be losing isn’t that important when you gain a bit more traction in the corners.

The i4 eDrive 40 0-60 MPH is rated by BMW at 5.5 seconds.

Actual Dragy Results are 5.23 seconds.
With Roll out 4.98 seconds.

So Car And Driver test would probably be around 5 flat. Or .50 seconds quicker than the factory claim. .25 quicker without the roll out included.,

Kind of funny the 19" Pirelli All Seasons make that same tire scrubbing noise below 40mph under hard acceleration, just like the M50. So on the M50, its probably not just the front tires fighting for grip, lol.

Here is an interesting comparison with a M3 RWD. It shows the i4 at 100kmh in the low 3 second range. Yet, it barely manages a low 12 second qtr mile. (actually only 400m). And how can the M3 be a second behind? It didn't look like it. Something is wrong with the timing here. Which is kind of strange considering many videos show even the M3 RWD catching the i4 M50 by the end of the quarter mile.
