I know you and others love it buddenfan but it’s my least favorite color.
Similar to BMW’s Marino Green, it’s feels like 1960’s British to me. Kinda old fashioned. I’m 53 so maybe its missed my generation? |

I really like Blue Ridge Mountain on our son's friends 330e, but it is my least fav colour on the iX. I appreciate and respect those who have it, and love it...but it just personally is not a colour I gravitate towards. I would take it over non metallic white and non metallic black though

This color looks like the "arctic metallic" that I had on a BMW 3 wagon with the straight 6 and manual transmission about 17 years ago. I had a love/hate relationship with that color. On some days it looked like a really cool shade of green. On other days it made me want to trade the car in. Too chimeric for me and I would not consider it.

My first BMW was a pre-owned E30 325i cabriolet, but my first brand new BMW was a 2004 E46, and I had to have silver (330i coupe). The dealer told me they got in an Arctic Metallic and it was even better than silver. They lied. NOT better I think Blue Ridge Mountain is, to me, much better than Arctic Metallic. Arctic Metallic was "pretty", but it just seemed like an old lady colour that belonged on a Toyota Cressida or Chrysler Cordoba |

Had an M5 in AM (actually Arctic Grey Metallic, C27 - very slightly different, but similar), and didn't particularly love or hate it. Not silver, not green, not grey - another BMW "chameleon" color (AM=A34). Nothing close to BRM. Definitely didn't stand out - a good thing in some circumstances. If I recall it was once fairly popular. In question (on a 3 Series):

Even though it’s officially my least favorite color for the BMW iX , I do feel an obligation to help out buddenfan because (besides the new stop sale) his color selection is the most important subject we have to discuss on the iX forums nowadays!!
My neighbor happens to have a Blue Ridge Mountain iX and I wanted to show you what it looks like. The colors change when it’s parked under the fluorescent lights my condominium garage!! https://youtu.be/P6s7Iq3E5sk?si=tN9PjhWm02cZp4gp Last edited by darylp310; 01-26-2024 at 05:36 PM.. |

Ive seen it only twice in person. Once recently and it looked almost a flat green on a rainy day and once last summer at an EV convention where it was out in the sun and looked very emerald and similair to the parking garage video. Tricky color but seems a bit less dull then Storm Bay which I seen parked on the street today
