▀▄ eas | Dinmann Carbon Steering Wheel installed in i3s

Wanted to share this nice surprise today from Dinmann, had this installed in my i3s this afternoon. This is one of the first Carbon Fiber steering wheels for the i3. This is an OEM BMW steering wheel, that has been reworked into a "D" shape with Carbon fiber accents on the top and inserts.

Best part is, you can get a custom wheel at a lower cost than a replacement wheel/airbag combo.

Features
Genuine OEM Factory Core
Reworked D shape
Contoured hand placement/trigger grips
Optional Leather or Alcantara

Other options available, from simple to wild. Contact us for more info and pricing.

Enjoy!

Looks great. Does the active cruise still work (ie. have you got the hand sensors working with the new wheel)?

Thx

The wheel is built from an original i3 steering wheel core, so all functions are retained.

Great work! I wonder if you could help with my problem... My Steering Wheel did not have any buttons (cheapest i3 version?) so I decided to add them. I purchased used set for i3 + the correct connector cable and I fit all into my steering wheel (removing the air bag, etc.) - all went well...

My steering wheel looks now like the one on the very first picture above

But my buttons still don't work I checked the cables - power has 14,4V and the signal line seems to have like 8V, all should work, but it does not I checked with BimmerCode app and the settings is set to: MFL_VERBAUT = 1 (activ) - is there any other BDC setting that I need to change for the buttons to work? Or is there any way to check if the switches I bought are not damaged (I bought used ones so can't be 100% sure they work...)

apprietiate any help

Just got my 3rd i3 in 5 yrs... this 1’s FULL loaded Red ‘19 i3s w/8.2k mls

PM w/availability & cost on below possible Tom?
- Like the Dinmann steering if possible to match the full leather (dark brown) interior or in all leather or CF+Leather combo depending on $.
- AST springs + spacers: red all previous posts...curious as to resulting tire wear and amount of lowering reached vs i3s stock? Installed cost & ability?
- Any other tweaks or popular upgrades, other than coding, here & now or coming soon, and $?

Sorry but work doesn’t easily allow stop-by! Constantly busy traveling, hence PM request!

What is the advantage of the unround sections on the steering wheel?

Extra room in leg area. Upper is simply cosmetic.

We would provide the wheel with a core charge, in which is fully refundable with return of your original steering wheel- or you can keep both if desired.
