Has anyone got this ? And using it successfully ?
I downloaded it last week and its great to look at the remaining range and consumption etc, but I cannot get the Pre Conditioning / door Locking/Headlight flashing features to work.
Bluetooth is all connected etc....any ideas ??

The remote features all go through some server somewhere and then back to the car over the Cellular network - there's a delay of maybe 30-60 seconds before it happens. If your car is out of reception area it won't work.

Is your car reporting location and mileage/efficiency back to your app? If it is then I think your problem is a setting on the iDrive to allow remote lock/unlock/precondition that needs checking (from memory!).

It is showing mileage/efficiency, it`s the remote features that are failing. Also, in the book it tells me to set up the GPS, but when I click on `settings` there is no option for GPS ??

Sounds like the car is connected - good start!

I think there's an option on the iDrive to allow GPS tracking as well, I'll have a look tonight. When I set it up, there's a few tick-boxes that need to be set correctly for it all to work.

On the remote control front, it doesn't always work, a bit hit and miss unfortunately but usually second attempt works if it doesn't the first time.

I,ve messed about with the menu and cannot find where to activate the GPS. I don't see how that would matter anyway, as you say, the car is connected, because I can see the data from my recent journeys etc...

I have tried 2 or 3 times now to use the remote functions and they always fail.

I use the app all the time, pre-condition works but takes a few seconds to connect, then displays 'performed successfully'

Gps is in settings, scroll right down to the bottom, then check the box.

Btw, these are the idrive settings in your car, not the 'app' settings!
