Adding a Sirius receiver to a "satelilte prepared" i3

Hello,
I'm getting a 2014 Mega soon and the specs read that it is satellite prepared, not having Sirius installed at the factory. Has anyone here been in this situation and looked for someone to activate it through coding? Success?

There is no coding Sirius, you buy an FSC... contact either your dealer or any online sellers of FSC.

If there is no physical receiver installed at the factory, you will need to add one yourself. THEN you would need to code the UI to expose SXM options for browsing and selection.

Personally, I would not bother.
I have had SXM in all my BMWs, and even toyed with the channels during the 12 month trial period. The quality is atrocious, and has gotten worse over the years (post Serious + XM merger). Music comes through plainly worse than FM, and way inferior to Pandora streaming.

Good luck either way,
a

I went ahead and ordered the files needed for USB install, got it activated and got a year of free service. After the year passes, I'll decide if It's worth keeping.
Now, as I learn how to use the radio functions, I'll play with uploading a bunch of music from my iTunes library over via USB. Pretty cool option.
