Dont have an IX M60 yet, but in the process. If I had the 21s, I like the Pirelli Scorpion Zero All Season. I don't think they have the exact size but I think the 275/45/21 would fit. Great all around performer, had them on my X4M Competition. Not sure how these tires affect range and efficiency just yet, but all around tire. I think they come standard on Audi SQ5, Porsche Macan, Tesla Model X, Range Rover, Jeep Cherokee Trackhawk. Obviously not all EV's, but performance cars.

I have been pretty happy with the high-performance tires that came with my M60; however, I can’t find them anywhere online. Just curious how much and where I can find them when it’s time to replace my current set. The difference between the performance and high-performance tires is the Roman numeral one in front of the word ELECT as shown below in red. Has anyone seen these available anywhere?

I just bought a used car for my daughter who is learning how to drive and I am replacing the cheap tires that it came with with a set of these. |

It is pretty confusing because tirerack shows several pzero options for the M60 but this is the one they marked as OEM. The picture does not show the "I elect" on it but it seems to be indicated in the specs ( I star BMW) so I'd wager that the pic is just not accurate sonce they seem to use the same pic for all variants of the pzero. https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires...0&autoModClar= |

I based my choice on the excellent work at www.tyrereviews.com. They go into a lot of detail in their comparisons and tire reviews. You can even adjust the scoring based on your own priorities (i.e. if you really need snow performance, you can change the weight of the snow performance categories to give them more weight in the overall scoring or you can set Value to 0% to take price out of the equation if you want and have your own personal scoring in the end) Just note that they have 2 separate categories for all seasons... regular and UHP. You can look at both sets of tests in the Tyre Tests menu. |

Used to be the case that 4wd bmw if the transfer case or driveshaft etc went pop the warranty dept would take a dim view of using non oem approved tyres.
I know the IX doesn't have a TC but if there is a motor system or suspension related issue and especially if you find yourself out of warranty you cold be at risk of $$$ Ps * marked means oem approved for that car. |

I can't find a way to make out from that link. Make sure before fitting that you inspect and make sure there is a * mark.

The general idea is to not go to any extreme. Don't replace the oem tires with slicks or something with outrageous amounts of grip relative to what the car comes with and don't buy low quality tires from Walmart which can be inconsistent due to poor quality control. You can chat with your SA who can give you an idea how the head office deals with the situation and whether they've ever heard of a claim being denied due to this,. If you say get the non * marked PZERO tires instead of the ones with the * and they cite that as having caused any issues, they are full of it. |
