Windows rattle on roadster

Had my roadster now for a year, love the car but the window rattle is very annoying. If I drop the window down very slightly it stops.
Anybody else have/had this issue?

Cheers

Joe

No rattle on mine. Sounds like a warranty issue to me. Good luck!

yep had that exact issue on my 2020 roadster. That and a failed roof lock.

Both sorted under warranty by dealer.

Key here is:

a/ to have a competent dealer since looking for squeaks and rattles is always very tricky. I know this from experience with other brands ie: Porsche / Aston.

b/ give them as clear an explanation of the noise as you possibly can.

My rattle was on right hand side (UK RHD car), when window was fully up. I could get a reduction in noise by pressing window outwards. The more broken the road, the louder the rattle.

They fiddled with the roof and lubricated some parts. It's gone now.

My much bigger problem was when the roof operation stopped in the middle of the process and intermittently.. on a sub 1k miles nearly new car.

Anyway they fixed everything and i did not spend a penny.

Thanks Ericsi for the feedback, you’re absolutely right going back to dealers with squeaks etc... is nightmare but I’ll give it a go

same rattle on my i8 roadster, but can't remember if it was related to the window. they ordered parts from Germany, that had a different part number. turns out it was behind the Roadster panel. was fine for about 2 months but has recurred. due for a service next month, so they will deal with it then.

Re: the rattle, for me they did not change parts but fiddled with mechanism and greased some parts. Fixed now. Been driving the car a bit on broken roads and all good so far.

There was a broken thing which was electronic soft top latch but that wasn't noisy, just defective and they changed that part under warranty.
