Oyster Interior Pic (?)

Anyone have oyster interior picture they could share? My m50 is in paint booth status; should be here soonish. But curious to see what the oyster looks like IRL.

Here is a video of San Remo Green/Oyster from this year's Chicago Auto Show.

I did the same combo, except I chose the Cognac interior

No pic, but I must say, I usually wouldn't order oyster, ivory, etc., in car that didn't have higher end leather... but I drove a car with it on the street drives at a UDE and was impressed.

IMHO (maybe a bit controversial), I feel like black is the only color that doesn't look good in the 4 series. It just accentuates all the cheaper black rubber and plastic materials... you could see that they're different easier with the direct comparison to black leather, making them stand out more. The contrasting leather or sensatec helps hide some of the corners that are cut in the interior of a 4 series (vs the higher series cars that just extend the quality materials more and more).

Which car was it? I'm still on the fence about Oyster. Just not crazy about Mocha. Really wanted Cognac, but they don't offer it in leather.

Photos from a dealer event in April.

The seats look kinda dirty in the photos but I don't think they actually were. Its probably some camera artifact happening here. I remember when I looked at the photos afterwards thinking it looked better in person. I actually decided to switch to Oyster after seeing it at this event, I really like the steering wheel contrast.

Thanks. What's your exterior color?

Legit the same interior combo I ordered. I'm even more excited now. Thank you for sharing!

My issue also. Not a fan of mocha and I just can't order the oyster.

My car has been delayed multiple times.
Right now week 38. I was worried about the $7500 tax credit would end at the end of the year. Now it seems that I'll either get it or I won't based on a binding contract.

So if my car is delayed again, I'm requesting tartufo full leather. I also don't want the dark but light stitching so it will delay the car. Dark stitching should not because they offer it in just about every other region.

I hear ya. I'll probably stick with Mocha, but the Oyster is tempting. I'm sure I would be cursing myself after my jeans keep rubbing off on the seats!

I have had Oyster interior two times in a BMW and once in their sister company RR's Seashell interior. It looks amazing.

YES...jeans will transfer to the Oyster/Seashell seats, but it wipes off very easily and if you do it monthly, it is very easy to maintain and live with.

I use either Meguiar's leather wipes of Rolls-Royce leather cleaner. It takes a min or less to do.

I have Cognac Sensatec in my i4 M50 and I am 100% happy. I have seen Cognac Vernasca leather in person (sat in, touched, rubbed)...and Sensatec is smoother, softer and looks like leather. Vernasca leather looks like old BMW Leatherette.

A few reviews on German auto sites (incl. my fav AutoGefühl) talks in depth why modern Sensatec is better than Vernasca leather.

It was an m50 with San Remo + Oyster.

I ended up with the tacora red sensatec myself. It's not as red as many pictures I saw, a bit darker than the tartufo in my other car, and more of a burgundy.

I wouldn't necessarily dismiss the cognac being sensatec if you like it, it's a pretty good material and it's not like we're talking about the difference to merino as it's similar texture as vernasca, so worth seeking out to see. Now I don't know if you get more parts covered with "leather" if you go with leather (I'll close my eyes and at least pretend not because otherwise I'll want it), if so I would certainly say that's the way to go.

All due respect to deutsch100 or anyone else who got Sensatec; I can't justify spending almost $80k on a vehicle without leather. I've seen and felt Sensatec and it is very good, but I really worry about resale value. Most people that are buying used luxury cars want leather.

I agree that's it's disappointing that BMW could have used a higher grade leather such as Merino. Vernasca is not the highest quality.

Should I mention the “V” word…??

Apparently some people don’t want the waste material from beef/milk production.

It's stupid that in Canada and everywhere else, you can get merino as a standard option. I wanted Cognac but would gladly pay the extra $2k to get extended and a little more to get full. Let me have it without having to request individual.

That being said. Anymore delays and it will be tartufo and not mocha.

I know some people want a vegan option and I'm cool as long as I can get my leather. No point in wasting the skin of I'm already eating a steak.
