Yes, my sales rep confirmed that to me today. Pics and prices will be ready by then. First deliveries probably next year though, since the iX will start deliveries in November and the i4 comes after that.

The iX is its own platform. I think that they can both start production simultaneously, with delivery start around November. |

https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=901686 It still has this info listed: November 2021: G26 i4 eDrive40, i4 M50 However, just got a email from my Danish BMW dealer saying that the i4 launch will be 26-02-2022 Hope that isent correct. |

Sadly, the more I read and tidbits I see of the i4 the more disappointed I become. I really expected to see the i4 reflect more of the concept (as promised), but find we are getting a face-lifted ICE GC with an electric motor. Now to read that the classy redesigned interior of the concept only carries over the big display screen to the production car with the rest being right out of the 4 series cars as another gut punch.
The final disappointment will be a higher than expected base price for the lower range base model to push me to another manufacturer's "E" vehicle. Not quite sure why BMW felt the need to be so cagey with details of the i4 while other manufacturers show full interiors and exteriors of their new 2021 and 2022 EV's. This full i4 reveal could be a real 'crash and burn" if the actual i4 isn't really something special and priced at or below the competition. I like BMW products so I am not trolling (I currently own two). For me, I was really "pumped" to buy an i4 when I saw the concept. The dribbles and drops of info we are getting and the direction BMW took with the production model certainly doesn't inspire confidence. I will however try and remain positive until I actually see the reveal and pricing. |
