Yep. The non-BMW section has tons of new threads and info on new cars and special so it's a nice "one-stop shop" if you will.

It kind of feels like Acura had an opportunity to do something great with a new Integra but this car looks like it's going to be a miss. In the 80's and 90's Acura did a great job differentiating the Integra making it look nothing like a Civic. This looks just like a Civic with an Acura front end. To make matters worse it's based on a Civic hatchback that has poor rear proportions making it look like a Crosstour.

Agreed... The only problem is all those things would have cost money. I'm guessing development costs were next to nothing on this Integra and all their costs went into marketing.

Agreed they are doing this as cheaply as possible but I feel it's also going to result in tepid sales. Enthusiasts were the ones that have been asking for another Integra for years but this isn't what they were asking for so who exactly is this car catering to?

Yeah enthusiasts will see through the BS. So really I think their main consumers will be previous ILX owners.

Yes, all 6 of them... all lining up their local Acura dealer already with deposits

I'd imagine that Honda sees the new popularity of the small entry level German sedans (2GC, CLA, A, A3) and they wanted a slice of the pie, not that they had much success there before, neither CSX nor ILX was ever big movers.

Interior pics leaked. It looks SO similar to a civic interior.... I bet if you looked hard enough through the interior you'd spot a Honda badge that they forgot to swap out for an Acura badge.

Toyota did the same with the Zupra and people seem to be fine with it
But it did copy a BMW and not a Civic
Come on Acura , if you're going to copy someone's homework , at least look at the smart kids and not the crack head next to you

Its honestly becoming embarrassing how similar it is to a Civic inside and out. Its possible to badge engineer a car different enough inside and out, Honda has been doing it for decades, yet here they don't even try. The only positive is that this doesn't have the Acura touchpad.

It is very disappointing to see the Integra badge on this car. I understand that from the very beginning the Integra was always using Civic underpinnings but both Integra generations (and RSX) had their own individual interior and exterior panels that shared no parts with the Civic and made them look like completely different cars. This car looks like a Civic hatch inside and out. The one thing they did to the dash to individualize it is replace the honeycomb across and replace it with plastic but they added a traditional rectangular vent on the passenger side that sticks out as not matching the drivers side vents making it look worse. Maybe sales will prove otherwise but I think Honda would have been better off not making this car.

Not to mention they added piano black plastic all over the center console area, where the Civic Si has a nice matte-ish finish.

The new Civic is actually pretty nice for what it is. I recently drove a new Civic Si and it was a nice overall interior, attractive design, functional. And that 6spd manual was one of the smoothest I've driven, almost felt like an automatic.
