Defect in dealer demonstrator
I checked out a dealer demo yesterday and noticed a bubble in the front seat backrest material. The phone pocket in the passenger door is lined with a rubberised material that I doubt is going to be very durable. Hopefully these issues were confined to the pre-production cars.

Could also be damage from being reviewed by auto journalists. At the iX event in Seattle a BMW employee told me that during a photo shoot someone hung a lighting array too close to the car’s roof and started melting plastic. Oops!

Nah the dealer demos are just for public use. BMW New Zealand supplies press with different cars as far as I know.
