Seat leather wearing

I have about 5000km on my new i8 and the leather on the door side of the driver seat starts showing first wearing patterns and wrinkles. Sure, ingress and egress is pretty harsh on the leather, but 6 months and 5000km is really not that much. Has anyone else observed the same. Any remedies, such as leather cream?

Thanks

Mine still looks fine after 20'000 km - apart from some dye transfer from my belts that I have to get out somehow. How are you getting in and out of the car? I don't think I put much stress on the sides of the seats doing that.

20k and no visible degradation?

Well, i assume that the way I get in and out is pretty standard. To get in I put my right foot into the cabine and the let the body fall into the seat. Some rubbing with the seat side here. To get out I lift my left foot over the sill and then push the body out of the car with the left arm, having the left hand on the sill. Again, some rubbing here. Anything wrong with this?

My seat is alomst all the way back. Maybe that gives it more vertical clearance from the door sill? Can't check right now as I'm travelling.

Good point. I changed my driving position and moved the seat more to the back. Stress on the leather is significantly decreased. Will see how it evolves with er time.

I would think that's a warranty issue
