First quarter mile

Finally turned over 2k miles on my 240xi and took it to the races last night. Engine is stock (for now).

Only did one run because there were over 100 cars there last night and I didn't feel like staying after midnight.

Temp was in the mid 60's. About 980ft above sea level (got that from iPhone compass). Great night for racing.

I was in left lane and yes... reaction time was pretty bad.

I did a few runs with my 2016 435 MPE/MPPK and the best I did was 13.1.

So I'm pretty happy with this first run in my stock M240xi

Very good 1/4 mile numbers, even with slow start. Thes cars are under rated.

Great first outing. 12.8 is quite respectable. Being a child of the 60's and the muscle cars of that time, a 12.8 stock car was unheard of (of course G70 14's didn't help much ).

Betting a Dinan elite and a better run would easily put you in the low 12's

Well done sir and confirmation what a great little car the M240 is right out of the box.

Thanks... I was in the left lane though with a 12.4 and the terrible reaction time. I'm hoping the JB4 will put me sub 12's

D'oh , sorry, mis-read. Even better result. Yeah, Dinan Elite or other tuner should put you into the high 11 sec category. That's C7 territory for our little coupes.

12.4 is pretty unbelievable in a stock 240 tbh.

Reaction time doesn't really matter the machine counts the time from when the car leaves.

You can have a 6 seconds reaction time and it will still show 12.4

This. And great job, OP!

My buddies xdrive 335 with dp's/tune goes 12.3 and is a tad heavier, so you're doing well in stock form!

Those numbers are impressive. No one gives a crap about reaction time, this isn't an episode of Pinks.

That is an unreal time. I just got back from a spirited drive and was thinking after some second gear pulls at how insanely fast this car is.

Better believe it. There's another M240ix in these forums that ran a few months back and did 12.3s at 110mph. Stock. It shouldn't be surprising seeing how the B58 in this car makes the same power as a M2 (~330whp/350wtq) thus runs very similar times. The X cars obviously have the 60' advantage.

I'm completely stock and have nearly identical times using launch control and letting the computer do all the work. 1.8 60', 12.4 1/4 @110mph

Best I could do launching and shifting manually was 12.5. I need to work on that.

Nice! Were you turning off DSC and putting the shifter to the left or were you in Sport/+? I went 12.39 @ 110.7 back in May on a 1.98 sixty (RWD), but I was in Sport +. I think DSC disabled would have shown a couple more mph. I expected a higher trap speed since I had JB4 on old map 1. When I go back I'll have catless DP, new map 5 and DSC disabled. Hoping for 12 flat @ 114 or so.

Sport+ then moved shifter to left. Didn't touch the DSC button.

Smashed on brakes. Smashed the right foot... checkered flags came on the dash... removed left foot and smiled down the track 😊

See, you can do launch control in the X-Drive. RWD just incinerates the tires! I just brake boosted to around 2k.
