Car just looks gross imo, over designed for form rather than function. Definitely a missed opportunity for BMW to make one of the first decent looking EVs. Just my thoughts.

Same as with the 4-series concept that's available to be witnessed in person in the Welt. Beautiful when you close in from the rear, awesome from the side but as you come around the front the grille hits you like a hammer. Putting lipstick on a pig just can do so much i guess.
As for the wheels, i get why they have to be this thin, but ever since the i8 i keep wondering why they don't put a little more effort into the looks. I mean it's not like they don't have a thick catalogue of wheels for ICE cars.

Don't understand how the i8 can look so good and after all this time this is the best they could come up with?

A little disappointed that it lost the unique side window treatment of the original i concepts - would have been a great differentiator for the sub-brand

I'm not a huge fan of new BMW designs (yes I'm one of the mouthbreathers bitching about every new M3 leak despite the fact I can't afford to buy one brand new anyway) but the way the new transparent badge changes color with the car paint is pretty cool
Edit: just read about how the transparent badge is not going on any production cars. Never mind |

My first gripe is with the fake vents on many current BMW's. This i4 looks like it has them in the rear too but I'll have to wait to see it in person.
The second gripe is the fact that this is just more vaporware from BMW. The i3 is their only EV to date. The rest are hybrids and there has been lots of EV announcements but no deliveries since the i3 came out in 2013. I get that these things take time to develop but it feels like they're stringing customers along in hopes they don't jump over to another brand. |

Can we photoshop in smaller wheels, bigger headlights, an atrocious hood-line, as well as a big US plate since the production model will have all of these things
