I4 M50 Production Completed! First unit built for the US

My client advisor sent this and said production completed earlier today. He did confirm it is the first unit built for the US. The rest of the units have completion dates or tomorrow. Hopefully they are some of yours.

I know that BMW will expedite if your car gets totaled before delivery. I don't know about Porsche.

BMW built me a brand new car (expedited) after they put the wrong seats in our first build. I was blown away with the service from BMWNA.

Pleased to hear it's on its way to you - I'm thinking of ordering one, but told it would be just before Christmas for delivery now...

I ordered first chance in June, still not even scheduled for production

Let's hope these ship carriers don't refuse to ship German BEVs. Bet they are spooked by this whole lithium fire thing.

Edit: Today it just changed to step 2: "scheduled for production "
Any idea how long from here to completion? I hear it doesn't take that long to build once it hits the assembly line.

Should be less than 2 weeks, as I had a M4 vert take around that amount of time last October. What that means is the part suppliers are lining everything up to enter production and why no changes are allowed at status 150.

I will try to get photos as soon as it arrives. I actually won't be able to take delivery until April, but my CA believes it will be there sometime in March.
